Dec-07-13  parisattack: Game #66 in Gligoric's excellent 'I Play Against Pieces' book. Gligo's final comment after 31. Bh4, "The end position represents the full triumph of White's strategy to gain the advantage in the center."

wwall: Perhaps the losing move is 19...Kh8, and now White forces the exchange of queens and center advantage with 20.Qf1. Best may be 19...Qf5 and avoid the queen exchange.

Instead of 21...Ng8, perhaps better is 21...Nh5 and 22...Kg8 with better defense than what was in the game.

29.Bg3! looks better than 29.e6 Kg7 30.e7 Kxf7 31.exf8=Q+ Kxf8 32.a3 Ke8 and 33...Nd3, with some counter-play for Black.

After 31.Bh4, White threatens 32.Bg5+ Kh5 33.Be2 mate. If 31...g5, then 32.Bxg5+ Kg6 33.Rd6+ Kg7 34.Bh6+
