Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-09-04  Knight13: 19...Qxb6 or Nxb6 seemed better to me. Nice battle.
Sep-09-04  azaris: Black's pieces are loitering around the passed pawn as if they are saying: "So are you gonna do something about it or should I?"!
Sep-09-04  maildog: IMO, black should not have accepted the sacrifice on move 28 which white wins back.
Sep-10-04  azaris: Well, the other option is 28...♘f8?, which fails to 29. ♘c5! (covering both b7 and e4) ♗a8 30. ♖xc8 ♖xc8 31. b7 . Either Black accepts the sacrifice rammed down his throat or he loses a piece.

It's a funny example of a position where you force your opponent to win material that ends up hurting him.

Sep-10-04  Deelong: I like 30.e4 baiting ...Bxe4 (31.Bxe4 Nxe4 32.Nxe6 fxe6 33.Rxd7) and at the same time making impossible for black's Bd5 blockade with an eye to Bxb3 on white's next move (31.Nf3)
Oct-05-04  aw1988: 5...e6? is a very bad move shutting in the bishop.
Jun-28-09  WhiteRook48: 39 Be4!!
