Aug-03-04  cuendillar: Did white lose this one on time? If not, why not simply 35.Nxe6, which looks like a simple win to me?

Honza Cervenka: <cuendillar> It was a blitz game and so it is quite probable. By the way, in final position black has so huge advantage that even 34...Bf8?? cannot turn the table. After 35.Nxe6 fxe6 36.dxe5 c5 passed pawns of black should decide the game. The most probable explanation of 34...Bf8 is that Movsesian wanted to play 34...Bxc5 and when he had grasped the Bishop he noticed that opponent had exceeded time limit and so he quickly put down the Bishop on f8 claiming a win on time.
Sep-21-04  Whitehat1963: What's up with 15. d4? Why not cxd6 immediately?
Sep-21-04  Whitehat1963: What are the rules for blitz? Perhaps it depends on the tournament or match, or are there standard time controls? This looks like a time-induced blunderfest.
