Honza Cervenka: 34...Kh8(?) repeated two moves later was a little back rank trick calculated on 35.Qxf7?? Rc1! (or 35...Qxe4) and black wins but unfortunately for black it had a little hole, which Vidmar finally discovered on the second occasion. After correct 34... or 36...Rf8 the game looks equal.
May-21-19  zydeco: The finish, by the way, is 37....Bxd6 38.Qf6+ Kg8 39.Qxf7+ Kh8 40.Qxg6 and then 40....Qxe5 doesn't help because after 41.Qh6+ Kg8 42.Rxe5 black has no back-rank trick.

With 37....f5, black could play on down an exchange but chooses not to.
