Jun-24-09  Shams: <Xeroxx> I'd razz you for an underwhelming bit of commentary but this game was a nice find-- good work. Polgar's commitment to the attack is unabated by the exchange of queens. I really admire that. Here she just sits on her position, trusting in the inherent strength of the 'hog, playing moves like Nd7-c5-d7 and letting white seemingly crash forward. Ponomariov was outclassed.

I suppose 10...Rb8 over ...Rc8 so that 11.Ndb5 Ne5 12.Nxa7 can be met with ...Nxc4.

Jun-24-09  wanabe2000: I think this is the "Blitz" win from the playoff with Ponomariov that gave Judit Polgar the tournament victory.

  HeMateMe: Superb attack. I wonder if she saw the winning line all the way back to move 27 when Pomo wins a pawn--the counterattack begins immediately--did she see the final shape of this to move 41?
