Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-07-05  falphin: A bad opening wins!
Mar-07-05  THE pawn: Wow, I have never seen anything like this, what's the name of this opening?

32.Rf2 was a big mistake, but apart of that...I would need help for the rest, I can't see the major mistakes.

Mar-08-05  misguidedaggression: White's opening play isn't exactly wonderful, either. White should probably play 3.Nf3 followed by 4.d4. ...a5 is a really bad idea in most Sicilians. The hole in b5 should really come into play after 5.cxd4 Nxd4.

And 8.Nh3 -- why????

Against garbage openings like this, you need to develop quickly and control the center.

Feb-04-06  blingice: <THE pawn> Chessmaster 10th Edition has 1. e4..a5 catelogued as "Corn Stalk Defense." I am not kidding.
Nov-15-07  kevin86: Corny win!!
Jan-20-09  Xeroxx: Sunday puzzle after 1.e4
Feb-16-09  whiteshark: The game briefly:

1...a5! --> 60...a1Q = <0:1>

  GrahamClayton: <misguidedaggression>And 8.Nh3 -- why????

MisguidedAggression,
White seems to have problems with both his Knights - the Nc3/Nd1/Nb2/Nc4/Nb2 is one of the strangest Knight tours I have seen.
