An Englishman: Good Evening: This, one of the earliest examples of the "Dracula-Frankenstein Variation," is a good example of why aggressive Black players remain drawn to this variation, even though the database tilts strongly to White. Not too many lines yield such uncompromising chess and so few draws.

White's 11th move is obviously a mistake, compared with 11.d3, but Black's 19th move is well worth the price of admission. Even better, the game keeps getting stranger. I have no idea how much of the play is sound, but it's lots of fun.

Mar-18-05  Tariqov: I don't get it?!! Can someone help me!!! IN move 19 ... Nd2 Why DIDN'T WHITE TAKE IT????!!!!!!!
Mar-18-05  Stevens: He wanted to avoid 20...Bxg2+
Mar-18-05  HSOL: Tariqov: I assume Nxh3 must be winning for black after white takes the knight on d2. I might be wrong.
