Dec-21-04  Knight13: Why not 13. Bxb5+ ?

How does White win? 33... Rf8 34. Rd7 Rc7 dose not do anything with checking mating or losing materials.

samvega: Using the 'games similar to this one' feature (why not 'similar games'?), white can indeed play 13.Bxb5+. There are wins, draws, and losses with this move (you could get a statistical break down via the Opening Explorer). A reason not play 13.Bxb5+ might be to keep the position complicated by avoiding exchanges.

White has just won a piece with 32.Rxd5. 32..Rc1 was a desparate attempt to wriggle out of the pin (33.Rxc1? Rxc1 34.Kh2 Qg1+). 33.Rf1 wasn't to attack f7, but to keep the extra piece.
