I've not checked but I believe the Robot about 42.Rf2 holding the position.

But it is the kind of move, allowing a discovered Knight move attacking the Rook with a check (Bxf2+) you would just avoid playing whereas a computer has no such hang up's and would dig deeper.

As played 42.Rd1 leaves the f3 pawn undefended and it this that led to the White cave in.

Looks like Miles missed the idea of 42..Rxc7 pulling the Queen away from defending her King and 43...Qf6 leaving the d7 Bishop hanging.

Pretty sure I would have gone the same way as Miles.

Great player Gyula Sax, always looked out for his games in the British Mags. Another one of the born in 1951 crowd along with Karpov, Ulf Andersson, Ribli, Timman, Torre, Vanganian....(me!)
