jaime gallegos: See the comments to Jacob Yuchtman´s life on his page here in chessgames.com. Unfortunately He was not comunist and even being a great natural player was excluded of the elite. The following three games was found on the brazilian chess page: http://www.clubedexadrez.com.br/men... To translate the algebraic portuguese notation: ( portuguese=english ) D=Q B=B R=K T=R C=K

Moscou, 1956
Brancas: Jacob Yuchtman
Pretas: V. Djalolov
Defesa Siciliana

1.e4 c5 2. Cf3 Cc6 3. b4!?

3. ... cxb4 4. d4 d5 5. exd5 Dxd5 6. c4 bxc3 7. Cxc3 Da5 8. d5!?

Um lance espantoso.

8. ... Dxc3+

Tomando a peça, as pretas puseram o jogo por água abaixo. Melhor era 8. ... Cf6 9. dxc6 Dxc3+ 10. Bd2 Dxc6.

9. Bd2 Df6 10. dxc6 bxc6

Provavelmente é melhor as pretas jogarem 10. ... Dxc6+, embora após 11. Tc1 as brancas preservam a iniciativa de qualquer modo porque estão a frente no desenvolvimento.

11. Tc1 Bd7 12. Bc4 Dd6 13. De2 Cf6 14. 0-0 e6 15. Ce5 Be7 16. Bf4 Dd4 17. Bg5 Cd5 18. Bxe7 Rxe7 19. Bxd5 f6

Se 19. ... cxd5, então 20. Tc7 Thd8 21. Cc6+! liquida as pretas.

20. Cxc6+ Bxc6 21. Dxe6+, as pretas abandonam. (1-0)

Minsk, 1957
Brancas: Jacob Yuchtman
Pretas: A. Roizman
Defesa Siciliana

1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3

Bxf7+ Rxf7 14. Dxf7+ Dxf7 15. Cxf7 Rxf7 16. Cc7 Tb8 17. Bxa7 Cc6 18. Bxb8 Cxb8 19. f3.

12. Cxd5 Cxd5 13. Cxf7!!

Um brilhante intermezzo.

13. ... Txf7

Se 13. ... Rxf7 14. exd5! Ca5 15. d6+ Cxc4 16. dxe7 Dxe7 17. Dxc4+ Be6 18. De4, as brancas têm a iniciativa.

14. Bxd5 De8 15. f4! Bf6 16. fxe5 Cxe5 17. Bd4 Rh8

Não é melhor 17. Cf3+, já que as brancas ganham após 18. Txf3 Bxd4+ 19. Rh1 Bf6 20. Bxf7+ Dxf7 21. Dxf7+ Rxf7 22. e5. Agora Yuchtman poderia ganhar dum modo tosco e mundano com 18. Bxe5 seguido de 19. Bxf7, mais ele escolheu um mais romântico.

18. Bxf7 Cxf7

Se 18. ... Dxf7 19. Bxe5, as brancas também ganham.

19. Txf6! Dxe4

A alternativa 19. ... gxf6 20. Bxf6+ Rg8 21. Dg3+ Cg5 22. Dxg5+ Dg6 23. Tc1 é de qualquer modo favorável às brancas.

20. Dxf7 Dxd4+ 21. Rh1 h6 22. De8+, as pretas abandonam.(1-0)

Moscou, 1957
Brancas: Jacob Yuchtman
Pretas: Ravinsky
Gambito Nórdico

1. e4 e5 2. d4 exd4 3. c3 d5 4. exd5 Cf6 5. Cf3 Dxd5 6. cxd4 Bg4 7. Be2 Bb4+ 8. Cc3 Cbd7 9. 0-0 Bxc3 10. bxc3 Cb6? 11. Cg5 Bxe2 12. Dxe2+ Rd7 13. Dd3 Tae8 14. c4!? Cxc4

A alternativa 14. ... Dxc4 conduz a 15. Df5+ Rd8 16. Bf4, com uma iniciativa poderosa para as brancas.

15. Dh3+ Rd8 16. Tb1 h6 17. Cf3 Ce4!? 18. Ce5! b6

A tentativa 18. ... Cxe5? é destruída mediante 19. dxe5 b6 20. Ba3, ameaçando Tbd1.

19. Db3 Ced6 20. Ba3! b5

Se 20. ... c6 21. Tfc1 b5, as brancas ganham com 22. Bxd6 Cxd6 23. Cxc6+.

21. Bxd6 cxd6 22. Cxc4 Dxc4 23. Df3! d5 24. Tfc1 Dxa2 25. Txb5, as pretas abandonam. (1-0)

Apr-17-05  Kangaroo: Interesting enough, but perhaps after this impressive game, < Bukhuti Gurgenidze > himself started playing the Rossolimo Variation (also associated with the names of Vinaver and Nimzowitsch) and has shown many impressive victories ...
