An Englishman: Good Evening: Steinitz' earliest game in the database has received zero comments? Granted, there's not much to say; he simply pounds his hapless opponent. Still, surely the great man deserves more attention than small Beer.
Aug-23-13  RichardSharpe: The ending of this game is nothing short of spectacler, this demostrates Steinitz superior knowledge of sacrificing positions!
Sep-28-13  QueenTrapper: B on d5 is a monster. This game clearly shows the importance of central control.
Jul-18-17  Noflaps: The Englishman is quite correct about the Bohemian: the great man gave much to look at in this very game. Try playing it with "guess the move" and its charms become even more apparent.
Apr-24-21  Dhirajk2021: 29th move Qd2!! Stunning!
Apr-24-21  Dhirajk2021: 28th move f5!! This move made the black queen cry... Oh dear..
