Peligroso Patzer: A very fine game by Tartakower.

According to a comment by Alekhine in his notes to
this game: Tartakower vs Ed Lasker, 1924 , Rubinstein’s difficulties derived from 9. … 0-0 (instead of 9. … Bb6, as played by Edward Lasker). (“New York 1924”, by Alekhine, Alexander, Russell Enterprises, Inc. © 2008, at page 128.)

Alekhine was no fan of the Scotch. In commenting upon Tartakower's “singular” 6. Nd2 (in AA’s notes to the 1924 game against Edward Lasker) he sardonically wrote the following: “Predicated upon a few positional traps, it is not likely that it will open a new horizon for the sober and colorless Scotch opening.”

Feb-22-14  Gregor Samsa Mendel: It's amazing how black's a-pawn makes it over to b2 on move 14 and stays there for the remaining 20 moves.

Honza Cervenka: 13...Nb4 would have been better.
