Honza Cervenka: This game is from the 9th SU Championship. I think that it was played in 1934.
Jun-10-04  acirce: The tournament was played 7 Dec 1934 to 2 Jan 1935 according to Cafferty/Taimanov <The Soviet Championship> so I guess there is a little chance the game was actually played in 1935 :)

Honza Cervenka: <acirce> You are probably right. This game could have been played in one of last two rounds. Another one seems to be Levenfish vs Ilyin-Zhenevsky, 1935

Phony Benoni: By my count this game was from round 6, so it would have been played in 1934. However, when games are submitted from a tournament spanning two years, sometimes the latter date will be given regardless of when the game was actually played.
