Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-04-19  HarryP: Emil Kemeny, editor of the American Chess Weekly (May 11, 1903) said of 25.Qb3, "More aggressive and stronger was 25.g4 followed by 26.Bh4. Black is obliged to answer 25...Ne7 and in reply to 26.Bh4 he cannot play 26... g5, for 27.Bxg5 would win." See the TB of Edition Olms or Pope's book.

  Ron: Stockfish 140820 agrees with Eml Kemeny that 25. g4 is better fo White than the played 25. Qb3. However, after the suggested line : 25. g4 Ne7 26. Bh4, 26. ... g5 does not lead to mate. Play could then go: 25. g4 Ne7 26. Bh4 g5 27. Bxg5 Rc8 28. Bd3 hxg5 29. Bh7+ Kh8 30. Bg6+ Kg8 31. Bxe8 Rxf4 32. Qh3 Rxe8 33. Qh7+ Kf8

Still, pretty bad for Black.

Feb-14-21  sudoplatov: Fairly modern looking play on both sides.
