plang: Lilienthal is such a terrific positional player; very underrated in my opinion. Kotov's 17..axb mistakenly opens the rook file and his 21..f5 weakens his light squares which Lilienthal masterfully exploits. His queenside knight maneuvers are quite attractive. If 31..Nxb8 32 Qc8+..Ke7 33 Qc7+..Nd7 34 Bxb6..Rf8 35 c5..Qxd5 36 c6..Qe6 37 Rd1 and the threat of Rxd6 and Bc5 is decisive.
