May-28-03  Reverser: Anyone could help me on this line after 4 .. Bg4, i often get in trouble. If i castle then the other player usually play Nd4 and i'm forced to take back with g pawn which usually leads to Bh3 with black getting a big attack on my king(which is not really the idea when playing the king's gambit as white :p). The best move i've found so far is d3 followed by Nd2 but i don't really like this line either, too passive from my point of view. Of course i could play 5 h3 but after 5 BxN QxB 6 Nd4 6 Qd1 i still lose a tempo. So i really don't know what to do. Any advice welcome.

  Honza Cervenka: 5.h3 Bxf3 6.Qxf3 Nd4 7.Qd1?? is bad for 7...Qh4+. Try 5.c3 with next 6.h3.
May-28-03  actual: play to take over the center...c3 and d4 look good...

I like 4 Bb5...then if 4...Bg4, 5. fxe5 dxe5 6. d4 exd4 7. Qxd4 Qxd4 8. Nxd4 threatening the pinned knight, you can castle king side and own the half open f file...black's king side isn't developed yet
