  Sneaky: 17. ♕xg6? ♕xb3!
Oct-02-03  patzer2: The winning combination starts with 15. Nxg6 and runs past move 21. However, the key move in the sequence is the 19. Bxf7 waiting move.
Oct-02-03  JSYantiss: That is a very good move, Sneaky, and..well..it's sneaky too. I hadn't even thought of Black replying like that.
Oct-02-03  patzer2: Black should vary early in the opening to avoid the quick loss here. Some options worth considering are

3. ..Qh4+ as in Harrwitz vs Adolf Anderssen, 1848

3. ..Nf6 (Lopez Defense, 1561) as in Spassky vs Korchnoi, 1999

5. ..Nxd5 as in A Gorbatow vs P Popov, 1993

6. ..Bxc3 as in A Grosar vs Michael Adams, 1990

7. ..c6 and 9. ..Qxd1 as in A Grosar vs Ivkov, 1990

Oct-02-03  patzer2: Also worth considering are

4. ..c3 as in Dubois vs Steinitz, 1862 or Suhle vs Adolf Anderssen, 1864

4. ..Qh4+ as in A Giese vs Alekhine, 1905 or Chigorin vs Marshall, 1903

Oct-02-03  MoonlitKnight: <Sneaky>: After 17.♕xg6 ♕xb3 18.♕xf6, isn't white simply up a pawn? (obviously worse off than in the text move, but still)
Oct-02-03  pkramer: Yes MoonlitKnight, that's right

Sneaky: Yes Moonlit, I suppose 17.♕xg6 ♕xb3 18.♕xf6 gxf6 19.axb3 and White still has a small edge, I think. I gave 17.♕xg6 a "?" not because it loses, but because there is so much better.
