Aug-13-03  Helloween: A move like 18.Be7! has to make you very discouraged in a chess game, just when you think you're doing good.
Aug-13-03  stef21: that what is chess about, be prepared for the most unexpected!!
Aug-13-03  Helloween: Or simply don't play silly moves that allow your opponent nice rejoinders such as in this game. In that way, you can look forward to good prospects. Tactical awareness is an invaluable constant in chess.
Aug-15-14  ColeTrane: 18.Be7!
May-08-22  UnsoundHero: Instead of 18...Qd7, Black should at least try 18...Qxe7 19 Qxd5+ Qe6 20 Qxa8+ Rf8 21 Qxa7 Bb6 22 Qxa6? Bxd4+ 23 Nxd4 Qxa6. But instead of 22 Qxa6, simply 22 Qb7 Rb8 23 Rae1 Qd6 24 Qe7 frees the WQ.
