Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-09-08  Knight13: 6. d3 would've saved White from dealing with ...e4 and getting kicked back. Pretty defensive game from that point on, though Karpov set up a very nice position.
Aug-03-16  Howard: This game was almost certainly the least significant game of the entire match.

It was sandwiched-in between the second and third sessions of the marathon fifth game. Neither player was obviously in much of a mood to play this game, for they were both preoccupied with the not-yet-completed fifth game, in which Korchnoi still had winning chances after the second adjournment.
