Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-20-04  Treadhead57: 11...Qe7 would have been better.
Jun-20-04  dac1990: This gets the record for the hardest chess game to pronounce, IMO.
Oct-30-05  Dionyseus: Roman calls 11...Nb4 anti-positional because of three points.

1. White has no weaknesses.

2. Position is wide opened and black has not castled.

3. The idea Nc2-Nxa1 is artificial.

Roman uses this game as an example of how being overly active (black's Nb4) can hurt your game.

Eggman: I must say I've never understood precisely what the term "artificial" meant with respect to a particular maneuvre / plan.

Maybe then a natural move here 13...♕c7 - for instance - exchange ♕♕s, and if ♗ take a7, then b7-b6 - but it seems that with ♘b5! white wil be well - ♖c2 ♘fd4! with idea of ♗c6 etc - etc

Aug-23-11  DrMAL: KIA uses d3 instead 4.d4 played, this is a reversed Grunfeld setup (a personal favorite rarely obtained). 7...Nd7 lost a tempo but 10...Rc8 instead of castling looked a bit dubious. With 11...Nb4?! instead of 11...Qa5 (or 11...Qe7) instead black has a problem castling and white has a solid advantage. <Eggman: I must say I've never understood precisely what the term "artificial" meant> Artificial means not real. 11...Nb4 is not a real threat. 13...Nc2? was just a flat out blunder, either 13...Nc6 back or 13...O-O was clearly best. 16...Qa6 lost faster, maybe 17.Rxe7+! was even stronger still (if it mattered LOL). Nice game for Dzindzi!
