Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-14-05  FrancisGrasso: 26 Kh1!
Dec-15-05  Runemaster: <Francis> Thanks for pointing this one out - it's an interesting position with unbalanced material.

If 26.Kh1 Nc1 threatens mate. 27.h3 loses everything to 27...Qe1+ 28.Kh2 Qxe5+, so I think 28.g3 is necessary. Then maybe 28...Nd3 and White's best is probably 29.Bd4.

It looks a little difficult for White. Black has 29...Nxf2 30.Bxf2 Qxf2 for a start, then maybe the idea of Qb2 picking up some queenside pawns.

Overall, 26.Kh1 might have been better than the game, but Black should still win.
