  ray keene: i recommend looking at this game as well in the context of botvinnik v larsen 1967 and szabo v padevsky 1972
Mar-08-15  zydeco: Botvinnik wins so many games by pushing his f-pawn.

Padevsky missed the possibility of 22.f5 when he played 21....Nc5.

22....f6 might be worth a try, although I suppose white has a significantly better endgame after 23.Qc4+ Kh8 24.Bxc5.

Unfortunately 23....Nxf6 loses to 24.Rxf6 gxf6 25.Qg4+ Kh8 (or Kf8) 26.Qh4 and if 26....Kg7 27.Qg5+.
