Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-04-07  sushijunkie: It is SHOCKING that there isn't any kibitzing for this game. I've done no analysis, and it is a Double Muzio, after all, but this is a truly brilliant game by White.

To go through all of that, just to cut the other King off from the Pawns...AMAZING!

playground player: You're right, it's an amazing, brilliant game by the inimitable Adolf Anderssen. Funny, although there are a lot of Muzio games in the CG database, I had never seen this variant of the King's Gambit until this week. Has it fallen out of fashion? But it sure does look like fun to play--for White.
May-28-11  psmith: 23...Qxh4+ is winning.
Jul-06-17  refutor: what a game

<has it fallen out of fashion?> about 120 years ago :) you will still see it the odd time but theory has it winning for black after 8.d4 Qf5 I believe, and I can't remember the verdict on 8.d3 (as in the game) off the top off my head.
