Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-05-04  Helloween: This is more of a display of extremely poor play by Anand than it is a great attack by Vaisser. I think this has to be one of the worst games of Vishy's I've ever seen. Maybe he had a long night watching Cinemax in the hotel and they forgot his coffee with the free continental breakfast.
May-04-05  Whitehat1963: I'm certainly no expert, <Helloween>, but I really like the sequence of moves that begins with 12...Rxb3. And I have to say I like the sudden ending too. Whether Anand should have seen these moves coming a mile away, I can't say. My verdict: clever game from the Player of the Day.
May-04-05  caballos2: 9.Ne4 obviously wasn't the best option.
Sep-24-08  Abdooss: If I am not mistaken, analysis in 1994 (I forgot by whom, I read it in a newspaper) suggested that 7.Nxc6 was dubious. Better is 7.Nb3 . Of course, being a 25-minutes game (Active), anything is possible. Even Anand is not free from faults in a speed game despite being a Speed-King (in the 90s.
Dec-06-12  Diademas: There are an analysis, by GM Daniel King, of this game on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK4g
Dec-01-13  RedShield: <Vis-à-vis>
Feb-28-15  ToTheDeath: Nasty opening prep to catch a whopper.
