  ajk68: Winawer seems to make some questionable pawn moves: 17. f3, and 19. b4?, 25. g4

Can anyone explain what he was thinking?

Dec-26-16  Saniyat24: In the face off against an attacking Black 17.f3 might be the most quiet and waiting move. 19. b4 a purely defensive move which might have been better if played earlier. 25.g4 is a little more complex. Perhaps he thinks his rooks would provide enough protection for his King and so he does not want a pawn to shield his King and instead stop the Black bishop. In truth there were other better moves possible, maybe he was not having a great day, who knows?
