Chessical: (White's 6th) Unnecessary. 6.f4 at once was better. (White's 8th) A weak move. Better to have retained the Pawn at d4, either by playing 8. Nc3 or 8.Be3.
(Black's 14th) The advance of this pawn is premature; 14...h6 would have given him a still more superior position.
(Black's 16th) This Bishop is necessary for the defence of the e pawn. It ought not to have been exchanged; 16... Rf7, or 16... Re8, would either of them have been a more-advantageous move?
(Black's 20th) This attack is unsound. He ought first to have played 20...Bd7. followed by Qe7 and Re8, so as to strengthen his f pawn, the weakness of which was what ultimately lost him the
game.
(Black's 22nd) Probably this Black's best line of play, and gives him the best chance to draw, but in any case, he must lose a pawn.
(White's 38th) Instead of the next move, 38. Rh8 would have been stronger. White might also have won a piece by 38. Nh5 but in that case, it would have been doubtful whether he could have done more than draw.
