Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-07-09  luzhin: Amazing how quickly Karjakin's position collapsed. 25...Ra3? put his Rook right out of play. Perhaps after 25...a5 26.Rg4 h5 27.Rg5 Rc6 28.Rgxg7 Rc4 Black has chances to defend, but it's not easy.
Sep-07-09  Chlipchlop: Amazing how many moves Aronian play before taking the e6 pawn. And at the end, he doesn't take it... :p

An Englishman: Good Evening: You just can't let Aronian get into an endgame, not unless it's already a win or forced draw.
Sep-08-09  arsen387: Aronian's endgame technique really became nightmare for his opponents recently. beautifully played!

Open Defence: its really difficult to analyse Aronian's games over the last 3 years... he find ways to cause a lot of difficulties for his opponents.. I shudder to think how they solve these problems OTB
Sep-08-09  percyblakeney: Aronian is good at creating winning chances also against very strong opposition, this year he already has eight wins against players rated 2745+. Around move 25 it didn't look as if it would be over five moves later but Aronian made it look easy.
Sep-08-09  NARC: Has anybody checked out 16. ... Nh5?
Sep-08-09  Knight13: That's because that egotistic bastard decided that he's too cool to play defense and let White shoot his cannon with d5. Apprently his stomach was not hard enough to absorb the impact.

9...Nb6 would've saved him. Or if you're straight out of Psych Ward then go for ...Qa5.

Sep-08-09  Manic: <NARC> Can't white just play Qxe6+ and Rxd7?
Sep-08-09  Udit Narayan: Aronian is like a computer. In fact, I think even a computer would have had a hard time playing the endgame as precisely as Aronian demonstrates here.

alexrawlings: how might this game have continued? is it really all over for Black?
Sep-10-09  arsen387: <alexrawlings> blakcs are losing the a3 R, coz if 30..Rxa2 (or any other move which doesn't simply give away the R) then 31.Bc1+ Kh5 32.Re5 checkmate

Oct-28-17  Whitehat1963: Isn’t there anything better than 11. exd4? Great high-level look at the Opening of the Day.
