Kibitzer's Corner
May-31-05  yunis: 53.Nd3?? a blunder or time deficit?!
May-31-05  yunis: big play positional type of Capa ' look to the pawn sacrificies!!
May-31-05  iron maiden: Desperation. White was lost anyway.
Aug-23-08  Marmot PFL: If white marks time black just moves his king up the a file to b3, trades all the pieces and wins the queenside pawns.

White's last chance to draw was 47.Kf1 Rxf2+ 48.Rxf2 Bxf2 49.Kxf2 Rxb2+ 50.Re2 Rb3 51.Re5.

Jul-31-10  notyetagm: Game Collection: PINNED + LOOSE = ZUGZWANG
Apr-17-15  ToTheDeath: Lovely game by Capablanca, in particular the creative doubling of the rooks on the b file.
May-20-17  nummerzwei: A lesser known Capablanca win in the spirit of
Janowski vs Capablanca, 1916.

Phony Benoni: You know you position is bad when you're reduced to hoping Capablanca forgets the en passant rule.
May-13-20  pepechuy: Did Kostic really play 49. Re2?
(it is a question, I am not implying it is a bad move) In the book "Capablanca" by Panov, and in the book "The best endings of Capablanca and Fischer", the move given is 49. Ke2, and after 51. Rd2 both gamescores have the same position.
May-13-20  pepechuy: Also, did Kostic play 54. Kd2? In both aforementioned books, it is stated that he resigned after 53... Rd2
