Mar-12-07  thegreatzidane: People, what happens after 32 ...Nxd3 33 Rxd3 Qxc4? I could only see 34. Rg3 with a strong attack I think. I dont have a chess program, so I arent sure whether that is the correct move or not. Anyone can help me with computer evaluation or any personal comments?
Mar-13-07  ToTheDeath: 32 ...Nxd3 33 Rxd3 Qxc4?? 34 Rxc4.

Perhaps you meant 33... bxc4, but after 34. Bxg7! Kxg7 35. Rg3 Black is crushed.

Beautiful play by Kasparov, as he switches from kingside to queenside continuously to finish the game.

Mar-13-07  BarneyRubble123: Not a doubt in the world who owns the 7th rank at the end of this one.
Mar-13-07  chessamateur: I wish I could conduct an attack like that!
Mar-13-07  thegreatzidane: Oops, I type wrongly. =P It is suppose to be 31 ...Nxd3 32. Rxd3 Qxc4. But I guess the answer is still the same 33. Bxg7 and 34. Rg3 with a crushing attack. Thanks <ToTheDeath>
Mar-09-08  notyetagm: Position after 13 ... ♘c6-e5 14 f3-f4!

With 14 f3-f4! Kasparov (White) has tried to provoke Black into taking the White c4-pawn, which is now <EN PRISE>.

Why? Because after 14 ... ♘e5xc4?? 15 ♗e2x♘c4 ♕c7x♗c4

White simply plays 16 ♘c3-b1

and the Black c4-queen is <TRAPPED>, the White c1-rook taking away the only line of retreat of the Black c4-queen by covering -all- of the squares on the c-file.

Jun-15-19  Patzer Natmas: Game featured in "New in Chess - Tactics Training - Garry Kasparov"

The ending looks phenomenal! The bishop is protecting the b6 pawn and attacking the g7 pawn, the white rooks and queen can move freely, and 2 pawns on the 6th rank! A thing of beauty...
