Honza Cervenka: Quite unfortunate game for white. For long time he was objectively won but the ending he did not play well and not only threw away all advantage but also fell into worse Rook ending in the end and lost. In final position h-Pawn is doomed and black wins easily.
Dec-09-14  Knight13: <Honza Cervenka> He may have been objectively winning but not to a point where it was easy to convert it to a win.

18. f4, securing e5, is a more preferable alternative, with the idea of Kg2 and d5 to follow. 18. Re3 Rxe3 19. fxe3 negated the chance of controlling the crucial e5 square by f4 (which Black can't challenge with ... g5), blocked White's KB that can't be freed by e5, and made his eventual d5 work more in Black's favor than for himself.

Dec-01-18  lame duck: It looks that <45.Kd3> was the crucial mistake. If white king kept jumping c2-c3-c2, this would be draw. Moving king to d3 made possible for the black R to get to b4, and king became cut off the queen side. Eventually exchange of pawns a anb b and the loss of pawn d hppened. Unortunate endgame for white.
Dec-01-18  lame duck: Sorry, I meant jumping c3-c4-c3
