  MissScarlett: Black may well be Beardsall whose name also sometimes appears as Beardsell.

  Telemus: This game was published in the "Westminster Papers", 1st Dec 1878. Black is named Beardsell there.

On 1st April 1879 the same magazine reports on Mr T.G. Beardsell, president of the Bermondsey Chess Club.

The BCM 1978 published a game between Mephisto and Beardswell.
