May-07-04  Calli: I think he wants to play Morphy :->
Aug-27-05  RookFile: To do that, he needs to go for a long walk on a 95 degree day, fill the bath tub up with cold water, put 30 pairs of woman's shoes outside the tub, all pointed in same direction, and then bathe. Before long, he'll see Morphy there to greet him.
Aug-27-05  Pawn Ambush: RookFile NOW THATS FUNNY LOL!
Jan-10-06  morpstau: Rookfile I strongly desern you to use better judgement on what you say of the best of all. He deserves much more respect and Im deeply offended in what you have posted. I hope you reconsiter your dialogue and leave Morphy off your tongue! Those stories are not true and he was completely sane. There wasnt a insane bone in his body!!

14...Bxc5 would steal a pawn, so Black is better.

But how about 14. Qc1, which would take away that tactic, and draw (?)

14 Qc1 Re8 15 Ne5! Bxe2 16 Nxf7 Qxd4 17 Ng5+ Kh8 18 Nf7+ etc.

YOU ARE PLAYING THE ROLE OF MORPHY.
Your score: 67 (par = 56)

Sep-19-12  expertattacker: 24.Bd7 is a mistake, but what else you can do when your opponent is MORPHY
Sep-28-12  Big Pawn: 15.Rxf4 looks really weak and smacks of blunderness. How about 15.Bc5 which removes the bishop from the threatened pawn capture while attacking the black rook. The knight on f6 is still under attack. Meanwhile, black is only threatening to win the exchange.
Dec-13-14  MindCtrol9: A player like John could never beat Murphy. With 21. Bc5 White should last a little longer although Black has an easy game and must win, especially when the player is Murphy.
