Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-31-04  Helloween: 11...Rxd5! energetically gives up the exchange and seizes the advantage for Black, however, instead of 14.Rd1?, White should play 14.Rc3!, keeping equality.
Jan-01-09  Chess Carnival: At first Tolush's 10.Bc7 looks like a very smart idea, but here Botvinnik refutes it with very energic play.

17.Ne2 was necessary because of 17.Nf3 Rxc5 18.Qb1 (even worse is 18.Qd1 Bxb2 and now white cannot stand the threat Rc1) Bxa2 19.Qa1 Rc2 20.Bd3 Rxb2 is terrible for white.

Jun-11-12  Ghuzultyy: An amazing game by Botvinnik. Really showcases the spirit of Grunfeld!

perfidious: Tolush was an attacker par excellence, but less comfortable when defending, as exemplified by this game.
Oct-12-16  Baby Hawk: Helloween, imho, 14.Rc3 is clearly better than what Tolush played, but I think it is a reach to call it even. Botvinnik can play Bxc3 15. Qxc3 Bxa2 with exactly even material, but Tulush still has his K B N R on e1, f1, g1 and h1.
Jun-03-18  malt: Seen this game before, worth a second viewing.
Mar-03-22  Knightmare07: Now THIS is what i call an exchange sacrifice.
