Jun-07-05  shakespeare918: Nice sak!
Jun-08-05  Hidden Skillz: nice indeed..
May-18-08  Rod Serling: A beautiful ending! I have a question about Alexander. In talking about Steinitz and Capablanca on a radio interview Alekhine came up, Bobby Fischer said of Alekhine, "his style was too heavy for my tastes". Im guessing his style wasn't flexible enough for Bobby. Any opinions out there?
May-13-09  Demadone: Strong moves in a delicate situation.

kbob: <Rod Serling> And Capablanca's way of saying it before one of the title matches with Euwe, perhaps still somewhat bitter over his own defeat: "Mr. Alekhine's game is 30% bluff."

And coupled with the fact that he was an overt liar in his publications, I have to admit I can never quite say to myself, "I am sure I am wrong." when questioning Alekhine's moves. Instead it has to be "I am 99.9% sure I am wrong."

Right here, for example, I understand that 16. ...g6 was played to deprive the knight of the f5 square. But what was demonstrably wrong with the braver moves 16. ...dxe5 17. fxe5 exd5 18. Nf5 Qxe5?
