Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-25-04  suenteus po 147: Played the exact same opening with an opponent an hour ago up to 7.Bd3, which apprently my opponent thought was winning. I delayed Nbd7 and played 7...Bxg3 to double the kingside pawns first and make an awkward situation over there in case my opponent was still intent on castling, which he was. My game continued 8.fxg3 Nbd7 9.0-0 Nd5 10.c3 N7f6 11.Bg5 h6 12.Bd2 Ng4 13.Re1 Qc7 14.Nh4 Nxh2 (a risky knight sac to follow through on my kingside demolition plans!) 15.Kxh2 g5 16.Nf5 Kf8 17.Ne3 h5 (here they come!) 18.Qf3 h4 19.Rh1 hxg3+ 20.Kg1 Rxh1 21.Kxh1 Qf4 22.Nf1 Qxf3 23.gxf3 Nf4 24.Nxg3 Nxd3 25.Bxg5 e5 and I went on to win. With kingsides demolished and our pieces scrambling around he eventually blundered his knight and resigned. I've never had a knight sac work so well, although I did get a alot of help from my opponent ;)
