Beth Harmon is a fictitious chess master featured in the Netflix series "The Queen's Gambit" based on a book by Walter Tevis. The showrunners used the advice of noted chess coach and commentator Bruce Pandolfini and former world champion Garry Kasparov. They came up with a list of games, which are either used unaltered or improved upon at critical moments
