My first encounter with a Suttles games collection struck me as the ultimate in humility: it opened with 6 straight losses to world champions. I collect them (and others) here, not because I wish to mock the man, but to celebrate the mere fact that he was admitted to these stratospheric circles. Me they wouldn't even let near the playing hall!

Botvinnik vs Suttles, 1969
(A42) Modern Defense, Averbakh System, 53 moves, 1-0

Suttles vs Smyslov, 1974
(C29) Vienna Gambit, 43 moves, 0-1

Fischer vs Suttles, 1965
(B06) Robatsch, 37 moves, 1-0

Suttles vs Fischer, 1970
(B03) Alekhine's Defense, 52 moves, 0-1

Tal vs Suttles, 1972
(B06) Robatsch, 40 moves, 1-0

Suttles vs Tal, 1974
(B23) Sicilian, Closed, 62 moves, 0-1

ok, so it's not a loss...
Suttles vs Petrosian, 1970
(A00) Uncommon Opening, 25 moves, 1/2-1/2

Suttles misses an easy win and loses!
Spassky vs Suttles, 1971
(B06) Robatsch, 43 moves, 1-0

Suttles vs Karpov, 1972
(A00) Uncommon Opening, 60 moves, 0-1

ok, so korchnoi was never 'officially' champion....
Suttles vs Korchnoi, 1967
(B03) Alekhine's Defense, 41 moves, 0-1
