Anand-Grischuk rapid match 2005
Compiled by Trudodyr
--*--

As the "lightning kid" was winning rapid match after match,21 year old Russian super-GM Alexander Grischuk was winning the ordix open-twice. He won it in 2003 and 2004-and tried even in 2005,playing in the ordix open during the day and his match games versus Anand at night. He ended up scoring 9/11,by the way. This match saw a fair share of blunders, with both players missing wins. Anand had the match won by game 7,and took home another green jacket with a 5-3 match win over his youthful Russian opponent.
