The GRENKE Chess Open 2017 was held from 13-17 April in the congress centre in Karlsruhe, Germany. Formerly known as the Deizisauer Neckar-Open, this nine rounds Swiss system tournament featured top group grandmasters Nikita Vitiugov, Etienne Bacrot, Richard Rapport, and Maxim Matlakov vying for a first prize of €10,000.
