Solin had to withdraw after Round 5 (26 games).The Masters tournament was won by Nils Bergkvist, ahead of Bengt Ekenberg, Osmo Kaila and Kaarle Ojanen (=2nd). Bergkvist was awarded the title Nordic Master. Andersen was still Nordic Champion. Lundin again had the right to challenge him, and this time he did. Sources
