Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-07-21  TheBish: The 5th Chess Olympiad, played in the UK. Winning team was United States, with the team of Kashdan, Marshall, Fine, Dake and Simonson.

Alekhine won the board 1 gold medal (9.5/12), with Kashdan taking board 1 silver (10/14) and Tartakower and Flohr sharing the board 1 bronze with 9/14. Marshall took board 2 gold (7/10), while Fine (9/13) and Dake (10/13) earned silver medals on boards 3 and 4 respectively.
