The 37th Annual Hoogovens Chess Tournament was a Category XII event, held in Wijk aan Zee, The Netherlands in 1975. Nine grandmasters and seven masters competed in a round robin format in the prestigious A event. The participants were (in order of Elo): Lajos Portisch (2635), Robert Huebner (2615), Efim Geller (2600), Vlastimil Hort (2600), Jan Smejkal (2600), Svetozar Gligoric (2575), Semyon Furman (2560), Lubomir Kavalek (2555), Walter Shawn Browne (2550), Jan Timman (2510), Jan Hein Donner (2485), Hans Ree (2470), Gennady Sosonko (2470), Luben Popov (2460), Franciscus Kuijpers (2445), and Kick Langeweg (2410).
