 | | Troller: <arsen387: Who is Gyorgy Marx VI?> A doctor I believe. He's probably on Wiki. Nice to see good ole Beljavskij in good shape here. I am quite surprised to see that the French boy is highest rated in this tournament with 2681. He has improved rapidly the last six months. |

Jul-29-08 | | Method B: György Marx was a hungarian physicist, member of the Hungarian Academic of Science. He is known for his work on nuclear power, atomic theory etc. Paks where the tourney is held (already the sixth time) has the only nuclear power plant Hungary has so that's why the tournament is named after him. He passed away in 2002 in age of 75. |

Jul-29-08 | | arsen387: <where the tourney is held already the sixth time> so that's why that 'VI' in the end? I thought he was a king or monarch and VI was his number in family tree. lol. thanks for the info |

Jul-29-08 | | percyblakeney: Maxime Vachier Lagrave keeps doing well, another win today, against Stellwagen. 1990 seems to be a good year to be born for chess talents. |

Jul-30-08 | | percyblakeney: <DeltaHawk> I see from your profile that I'm not the only one to have noticed that. :-) |
Jul-31-08 | | DeltaHawk: <percyblakeney:> Haha, sorry for my bragging, but since I'm just an average chess player myself, I have to brag about something. |
Jul-31-08 | | Cactus: DeltaHawk, in your profile, who is 'Bad chessgames.com link' supposed to be? |
Aug-01-08 | | wolfmaster: Burp Burp toot toot. |
Aug-01-08 | | dumbgai: I remember in early 2002 when Ponomariov won the FIDE WC and Grischuk got second place at Corus, 1983 was kind of like how 1990 is now. There's also Bacrot, Jakovenko, Dominguez, and others. By comparison, 1982 and 1984 didn't produce nearly as many top-level GMs. |
Aug-02-08 | | percyblakeney: Another nice win for Vachier-Lagrave today, with black against Sargissian. Unless the official site and TWIC are right in claiming that Sargissian won, but looking at the final position that can't well be the case. |
Aug-02-08 | | percyblakeney: Now they changed the result, 0-1. |
Aug-02-08 | | randzo: Vachier Lagrave reach 2700 in live ratings after 7 rounds congratulation. |
Aug-04-08 | | randzo: Congratulation to Maxime to win the tournament and olso to reach 2700 superGM club(he is also in progress his rating is still higher and he is 30.in the world |

Jan-12-09 | | DeltaHawk: <Cactus>, Ah, who knows? I'm too lazy to look it up, but you can see that in the ChessBase link, I pulled the names of the top juniors born in 1990. The bad link is some guy who I do not care about. |
