Submit A PGN
To Chessgames.com
If you know of an important chess game which is not in our database, you can submit the PGN below. Please be sure to separate each game with multiple line-breaks if inserting a PGN below. It will be added to the database after review by administrators.
Please follow our guidelines:
- No games with incomplete scores.
- Games must be in standard PGN format. An example of a valid PGN game is given below.
- We try to focus on the most instructive and interesting chess games. Therefore it is strongly suggested that at least one of the players—and preferably both—should be master strength or better (2200+ ELO).
- Blitz games should generally be avoided. At least one player must be a grandmaster for a blitz game submission to be considered.
- Please provide the full names of all players whenever possible. For players already in our database, please use the same spelling that we do.
- You do not need to supply any information about the opening; our software will compute that automatically.
- Please try to confirm that you're not submitting a game which is already in the database (or move-for-move identical). This includes "GM draws" and opening traps. Use the search tool on the homepage to double-check all game submissions.
- No games of dubious authenticity.
- No anonymous annotations. All annotators must be identified in the commentary.
- No copyrighted annotations. It is unlawful to publish copyrighted annotations without the explicit permission of the copyright holder.
- Please provide the source for all submitted games in the "Source" tag of the PGN file (maximum 64 characters).
