PETER SCHEEREN
(born Jul-30-1955, 69 years old) Netherlands

He is an IM.

In 1974 he won the bronze medal at the Dutch Junior Championships under 20 in Rotterdam. In 1978 he finished third (behind Juraj Nikolac and Hans Böhm) in an international tournament held in Eerbeek. In 1980 he shared the first place (together with Israel Zilber, Josip Rukavina and Beat Züger) in the open tournament of the festival in Biel, while in 1982 he won (together with Stefan Kindermann) in the B tournament of the festival in Wijk aan Zee. In 1983, he represented his national team at the European Team Championships in Plovdiv (VII place), while in 1984, he won the bronze medal of the Dutch Individual Championship in Hilversum and the only time in his career he appeared for the national team at the Chess Olympiad held in Thessaloniki (X place)

He ended his professional chess career in 1988.
