ISAAC S LOYD
(born 1839, died 1905, 65 years old) United States of America

Isaac Smith Loyd, Jr., was noted as being a problemist of some skill (1). He was known to have competed in the New Jersey Chess Association tournaments of 1888 (2), 1889 (3), 1894 (4), 1895 (5), and was a member of the governing committee for 1900 (6). And, while not as prolific as his younger brother, Isaac would continue to generate problems throughout his life (7).
