Sep-23-04 | | azaris: Speaking of chessplayers' wives, Alekhine married several times and every time with a woman much older than himself. Once when he married a woman 20 years older than himself, the French press wrote that he had married Philidor's widow. |

 | | Open Defence: she is doing well in the US Women's Championship (2008) |
|
Jun-09-08 | | actinia: Regarding the Krush-Zatonskih 2008 US Women's Championship Armageddon game... I can't tolerate blitz players who break the rules. When a blitz player 'pre-moves' in an OTB game I just grab their king and stop the clock. In blitz, illegal moves are punished with a loss. Irina Krush should have done something about it the moment it happened. Unfortunately she didn't. |
|
Jun-09-08 | | Petrosianic: <I can't tolerate blitz players who break the rules.> Except, it looks like she didn't.
<When a blitz player 'pre-moves' in an OTB game I just grab their king and stop the clock.> Then it looks like you are a blitz player who breaks the rules, and therefore you cannot tolerate yourself. Have you read USCF's reply? http://main.uschess.org/content/vie...
<Is it illegal to move before the opponent punches the clock? Apparently not...> |
