Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-13-05  patzer2: This game is a good example of the tactical play Black gets after 9...d4!? in the Tarrasch QGD.

I particularly enjoyed the deflection/pinning/double attack combination starting with 27...f3+! In the final position, after 30. Kf3 Qd3+, Black wins the Rook.

Jan-08-06  skarecrow: yeah, that was a pretty good combo...nicely played....
Sep-01-07  Dr. Siggy: For the moment, I'm inclined to believe that the best way to conduct the Tarrasch gambit - 9...d4!? -, after the strong 11.Bf4!, seems to be (neither 11...Ne4 nor 11...Be4, but) 11...Qd7!?, as suggested by W. Korn many years ago in one of his editions of "Modern Chess Openings". Here's an analysis of my own: - 12.b4 Nxb4 13.Nxd4 Be4 14.f3 Bc6 15.Nxc6 Qxc6 16.Qb3 Nbd5 17.Bd6 Bxd6 18.cxd6 b5 19.Nb2 Qxd6 20.e4 Qb6+ 21.Rf2 Ne7 22.e5 Nfd5 23.f4 Rad8, with an even game.

Mind you, I'm not sure if this analysis is completely sound: furthermore, I have never been able to test it on a serious tournament... That's why I'd be very grateful to get some kind of feedback from Mr. Schiller and/or my fellow kibitzers about it. Thank you!
