Hainan Danzhou GM (2015) The 6th Hainan Danzhou GM tournament was played in Danzhou, China 2-11 July 2015. Time controls: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, 30 extra minutes for the remaining moves, with a 30-second increment per move from move one. Tournament director: Ye Jiangchuan. With a positional playing style he differs from other top Chinese players (mainly attackers). His decisions are based on logic (and precise calculations), yet he is extremely emotional. I hope he can get back to 2750 and take his place as China's best or top 3. It's nice to have a player of his style to give us some variety compared with the rest of the younger chinese players who are ultra aggressive and tactical monsters. <@MindCtrol9:> Is Bruzon an alcoholic or something like Alekhine? haha. But you shouldn't blame your losses or bad form on your decision to drink every once in awhile.. does he drink or get drunk and have hangovers etc during tournaments even? Svidler, Vitiugov, Matlakov, Fedoseev and Dubov will play for Russia. These matches have taken place between Russia and China since 2001. The match is a 'Scheveningen' team event between China team and Russia team. All members of each team play all members of the other team once. The event starts today with a blitz.
