chessgames.com: Please note that there are two games that we don't have. We do know that round #1 was won by Granda Zuniga; and round #2 was drawn. It's unclear if we'll get them soon or if they are lost to history.

In any case, congratulations to Nigel. We're looking forward to more of his South American tour.

Jun-06-15  zanzibar: Many years later I tried to locate the first two games of the match - to no avail. Still missing.

Chessical: <"This encounter is not for profit, but rather a credible initiative to spread the chess in schools to show the benefits that sport brings the so-called science to improve in terms of concentration, discipline and healthy exercise of thinking. This match will be held on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th (May) at the premises of the Scientific University of the South, in its campus Villa and admission is free.">

Does anyone know what this means? It seems that this match may have been more in the way of an experimental exhibition.

<"Both players will play six matches in two days, two of them implement a new rule in which you can return to the pawn to its original square as many times as the player sees fit.">
